A man was airlifted to Wellington Hospital with head and hand injuries after being shocked while working on a South Wairarapa farm.
A local maintenance worker received a nasty shock when he fell off a railing after he received an electric shock.
The 29-year-old man was installing equipment in a cow shed at Wards Line, Morrisons Bush, when he drilled into a power source.
"He received an electric shock and fell oneto two metres from the railing," said Colin Larsen, a crewman from the Life Flight Westpac rescue chopper which was called to the scene just after midday.
"He sustained minor to moderate injuries from the shock and the fall."
Mr Larsen said the worker didn't seem too ruffled by the accident, appearing calm and conscious.
The man was flown to Wellington Hospital with head and hand injuries. He was working for BW O'Brien, an air conditioning and heat pump company, at the time of the accident.
