The two women who died in a fatal road smash south of Auckland on Saturday morning have been named.
They were 22-year-old Na Huan, and 23-year-old Zhuangya Xu, both from China.
Both women died following the crash on State Highway 22, near the intersection with Blackridge Rd, around 6.40am on Saturday.
One of the women died at the scene, while the other died during surgery at Middlemore Hospital.
The women were travelling in a yellow Toyota Altezza with one other person, who remained in hospital in a critical condition, police said.
