A group of hairdressers' braids for boobs initiative raised double their goal of $1000 to go towards the fight against breast cancer.
Loxy's, which has salons in Auckland and Wellington, opened its doors to anyone wanting to get on board, to get their braids done for just $30 as part of Breast Cancer Awareness Month.
Owner Kate Jarrett said they'd had 60 people across both salons walk through the door to get their hair done for a good cause - an "awesome" result.
The event raised more than $2000 and Jarrett said she hoped the business could organise a fundraiser at least annually if not more often and was looking at doing buns for boobs next time.
She said breast cancer was something that had affected many of her clients.
