KEY POINTS:
A man accused of covertly filming women using public toilets in a food court pleaded not guilty in court yesterday.
Richard Ford, 25, unemployed of Porirua, has been charged with intimate covert filming, burglary and trespass.
Police allege Ford went into a cubicle in the women's toilets at the BNZ centre food court in Wellington on December 21 with pornographic material and a polaroid camera. A number of women used the toilet in the next cubicle and Ford allegedly stood on the toilet seat so he could look over and watch them.
Police told Wellington District court that the women were unaware they were being watched until one saw a camera flash and alerted building security.
Ford was remanded in custody to stand trial in a defended hearing on June 5.
