Two women have been charged with the murder of an Indian immigrant in Gisborne.
The women, aged 24 and 25, are charged with the murder of Amandeep Singh, who was reported missing on January 1.
His body was located in the Kaiti Beach area on January 24 but it was believed he died on December 29.
Mr Singh immigrated to New Zealand in 2010 and was a field worker, working in several locations around the central North Island. His wife lived in Tauranga and he had family in India.
His family had been told of the arrests, police said today.
