A serial predator is attacking lone young women in Auckland's upmarket inner-city suburbs.
Police said at least six women had been indecently assaulted in Ponsonby and Freemans Bay over a 12-month period and four incidents appeared to be linked.
The incidents occurred between November 2, 2012 and November 12, 2013, mostly late at night, and police fear other victims may have yet to come forward.
In each of the known incidents the victim was approached and spoken to before being grabbed and assaulted.
Detective Senior Sergeant Peter Florence said there were similarities between the victims' descriptions of their attacker.
