A woman's shoulder was broken in two places during a daylight bag snatch and assault in Whangarei on Saturday.
The 58-year-old woman was walking on Otaika Rd, State Highway 1, about 7.50am when she was attacked and her shoulder bag taken, police said.
The offender then ran a short distance
to a waiting vehicle, described as a silver station wagon with tinted windows, parked on SH1 opposite Matipo Place.
The victim was treated at Whangarei Hospital for multiple cuts and bruising, and her upper arm near her left shoulder was broken in two places.
