Woman's body found in stream

Police say there are no suspicious circumstances surrounding the discovery of a woman's body in a stream on the shore line of Tauranga harbour this morning.

The body was found at Pahoia, 20km northwest of Tauranga.

Police were called to the area shortly before 8am after being alerted by a member of the public.

Police said formal identification of the body was now taking place and the death had been referred to the coroner.
