KEY POINTS:
A woman who said she was the victim of a mid-morning sexual assault in Christchurch has withdrawn her complaint.
Police said the 21-year-old woman was walking on Chester St when grabbed by two men , dragged behind a hedge and indecently assaulted about 10am on November 1.
The pair were scared off by a middle-aged man who heard the woman scream for help.
Police launched an investigation and generated computer sketches of the alleged offenders.
But a police spokesman confirmed today the woman was deeply traumatised and had decided not to follow up the incident.
Police were continuing with the investigation without her help and wanted to hear from the man who came across the attack.
