Police are investigating after a woman was sexually violated outside a concert venue in Trentham, Upper Hutt, on Saturday.
Police said they were seeking a man described as a male Maori, of medium build, approximately 2 metres tall and aged between 18 and 20.
He has a distinctive tribal tattoo on his left upper arm, down to just below his elbow and he was wearing a bright purple and white tye-dyed T-shirt.
Both the victim and the man were driven by taxi from Trentham to Khandallah where the victim was dropped home.
Police would like to speak to the taxi driver and asked him to come forward.
