An Auckland woman is using social media to try to track down her mother-in-law's precious jewellery which was stolen and later pawned.
Auckland woman Olivia Grieve posted on her Facebook page that the sapphire and diamond rings, which originally belonged to her mother-in-law's mother, were stolen, and later sold to a shop at Westfield Glenfield.
"Unfortunately" the heirlooms had since been sold from the store, Ms Grieve said, and she was now desperately trying to track them down.
"If you have recently bought a sapphire or diamond ring from there, PLEASE pm me asap! We are desperate to get them back for her! Please share this around so as many people as possible see this!"
The post on Ms Grieve's Facebook page has been shared on the social media site over 115 times.
