A 36-year-old woman will appear in court this morning charged with the murder of another woman who was fatally stabbed at a house in West Auckland over the weekend.
The accused will appear at the Waitakere District Court today, following the stabbing on Saturday afternoon, in Te Atatu.
The women were attending a girls' day out. Those who were there said they were all "like sisters'' and that the woman accused of murder had gatecrashed the party.
The woman who lives at the address and hosted the event, who did not wish to be named, told the Herald it was a "beautiful" day until an uninvited guest arrived.
"I didn't even know her," she said.
