A 19 year-old Remuera woman was tied up in her home while family members slept upstairs in a home invasion in the early hours of yesterday morning.
Glen Innes police say they are concerned about the "brazenness and apparent planning" behind the home invasion.
The intruder entered the Victoria Ave property in the Auckland suburb with his own "tools of trade" at about 4.30am yesterday, according to police.
The woman was tied up and her laptop and jewellery were stolen, before the offender left the property on a blue mountain bike he had also stolen.
The offender has been described as aged between 30 and 50, at least two metres tall and of slim, athletic build.
