A woman was threatened by a stranger as she walked down a Christchurch road.
Police are now asking for help from the public in finding the man.
A young woman was walking on Orontes St, Shirley about 10.15am yesterday when a man in a black four-wheel drive with tinted windows threatened her and told her to get in his car.
She refused and the man drove away.
The man was described as having dark coloured skin, being of a medium build and wearing a black beanie. He may have had a tattoo on one of his cheeks.
