Woman run over by tractor

A woman was taken to Waikato Hospital yesterday after being run over by her own tractor in a farm accident near Te Aroha.

The 47-year-old was feeding out silage alone when she was run over by the rear wheel of the tractor and transport tray, a spokesman for the Waikato-based Westpac Air Ambulance said.

She was treated at the scene by St John Ambulance before the helicopter was requested.

She was in a stable condition yesterday evening.
