A woman has been airlifted off Taupo's Mt Tauhara after injuring her ankle.
The 58-year-old was flown to Taupo Hospital's emergency department with a minor injury.
A St John Ambulance spokeswoman said because of the location and the lack of access by road, the Rotorua-based BayTrust Rescue Helicopter was used to transport the woman to hospital.
