A Wellington woman was knocked unconscious by a pantless burglar early Saturday morning.
Police told the Dominion Post the man entered a house on Millward St, Newtown, about 1.50am.
When a woman disturbed the man - described as Maori, about 26-year-old and 1.65 metres tall - he punched her in the face. She was knocked unconscious but did not suffer serious injury.
Detective Sergeant Damian Murphy said police wanted to hear from anyone who had seen man without trousers in the area prior to the attack.
"That's fairly distinctive," he said.
