A woman who tried to get into a ute as it rolled down a bank was pinned beneath it for half an hour yesterday.
The accident happened yesterday morning at a property on Pakiri Rd, Leigh, as she and another person worked on the vehicle.
An Auckland Westpac Rescue Helicopter spokeswoman said the injured woman had tried to get into the front driver's seat to stop the ute, before it began to roll.
Instead, she fell underneath it, and became trapped when it rolled into a tree at the bottom of the bank.
After 30 minutes she was freed from the wreckage by the fire service, which used air bags to lift it off her.
