A woman facing child assault charges has been further remanded to reappear in Gisborne District Court on June 12.
The woman, who has name suppression until her trial, is charged with assaulting a boy in Whangarei between January 1, 2010, and December 31, 2010, and assaulting the same complainant with intent to injure him on June 1, 2011.
She appeared in court today for callover where her counsel Adam Simperingham said the Crown had not yet filed an indictment.
The woman has lived in Gisborne for some time.
