KEY POINTS:
A woman found lying dead in a pool of blood in her New Plymouth home may have been there for four days, police said yesterday.
The body of Angela Teresa Deane, 55, was discovered on Monday morning.
A 48-year-old man was arrested on a murder charge a few hours later at a house less than 2km away.
He appeared in New Plymouth District Court yesterday and was remanded in custody to reappear tomorrow morning. Police said more charges were pending.
