Woman killed in Waimauku crash

A 23-year-old woman is dead after her car rolled in Waimauku, north-west of Auckland, this evening.

A two-and-a-half-year-old boy travelling in the car has been airlifted to Starship Hospital for observation, say police.

Police say the woman's car rolled on Taylor Road at 5.15pm. Emergency services are still at the scene and the road is closed between Waikoukou Valley Road and Old North Road.

The Auckland Serious Crash Unit is investigating.
