Woman killed after scooter collides with truck

Save A 59-year-old Ashburton woman was killed when her scooter collided with a truck on the outskirts of Tinwald today.
Emergency services were called about 12.45pm but the woman was dead when they arrived.
The truck driver was believed to have been uninjured.
The road was closed for some time, with
traffic on the busy road leading to Lake Hood diverted.
The woman's name would not be released until next of kin had been notified, police said.
