Woman injured in farm bike fall

A 22-year-old Taranaki woman is in a critical condition after falling off a farm bike yesterday afternoon.

The woman fell from the two wheeled bike on a Ngatoto road property in Uruti, 31km north east of Waitara at about 1pm yesterday.

A St John's ambulance spokeswoman said she was airlifted to Taranaki Base Hospital by the Taranaki Community Rescue Helicopter.

She was then transferred to Wellington Hospital late yesterday, a hospital spokeswoman told the Taranaki Daily News.
