Woman injured in Cambridge crash

A head-on collision between two cars near Cambridge last night left a woman with critical head and chest injuries.

Police said the accident happened about 6.50pm on State Highway 1. The Fire Service took about an hour to free the victim, who was flown to Waikato Hospital by the Westpac Waikato Air Ambulance.
