A woman hit by a train at Glen Innes station has escaped with her life.
A police spokeswoman said the woman had injuries to her legs after being hit by the train sometime around 6.30pm.
The woman was originally found on the train tracks but had since been removed and was now was now being treated by ambulance staff at the scene, the spokeswoman said.
