A Paroa woman facing charges of possession of cannabis for supply, possession of methamphetamine and possession of a weapon is clinging to a hope she can be let go without convictions.
Chloe Ruth Monachan, 27, was remanded on bail in the Greymouth District Court yesterday to August 1.
Lawyer Marcus Zintl said he had been instructed by the defendant to try to advocate for a discharge without conviction.
However, Judge Tony Couch said in the Greymouth District Court yesterday that the offending was "not minor stuff".
"There was a considerable quantity of cannabis and methamphetamine found - seven 'points' - that's a lot," Judge Couch said.
