A woman charged in connection with the burial of the body of her newborn baby boy was further remanded until November 24 in Wellington District Court today.
The remand was to give Judge Patrick Grace and the 21-year-old woman's lawyer Philippa Sullivan time to consider a weighty psychological report.
The prosecution did not oppose Ms Sullivan's application for a further remand, at the woman's brief appearance.
Name suppression continued for the woman, charged with disposing of a child's body with intent to conceal the fact of its birth.
She was the mother of the child.
The child's body was found after occupants at a house in Wellington's Churton Park contacted police on October 5.
At her initial appearance the woman was remanded to a Porirua psychiatric facility.
