A woman was hospitalised after a mystery motorist drove into her in an apparent road rage incident in Auckland yesterday morning.
The 27-year-old was the victim of what police described as a "serious assault" about 8.10am on Main Highway, Ellerslie.
She was struck by a vehicle - thought to be black, and possibly an Audi - after getting out of her car to speak to the driver following a minor traffic incident near Robert St.
The driver of the other vehicle drove off.Police are interviewing witnesses and reviewing CCTV footage.Anyone with information is urged to contact police on 021 191.
