A woman has been hospitalised with head and leg injuries after being struck by a vehicle in Invercargill.
The 23-year-old woman was walking on the footpath of Lindisfarne St about 11pm last night when she was hit by a red Toyota Corolla.
She was taken to Southland Hospital with injuries to her legs and head, Inspector Olaf Jensen said.
Her condition was not life-threatening.
Mr Jensen said the vehicles 27-year-old driver had been interviewed and police were seeking witnesses.
A section of Lindisfarne St was closed this morning for a scene examination.
