A woman who was seriously injured after being hit by a bus in central Wellington is now in a stable condition.
The woman, in her late 40s, was crossing Manners Street when she was struck by a Go Wellington Bus about 2.30pm yesterday.
A spokeswoman from the Capital and Coast District Health Board said this afternoon that the woman was in a stable condition.
She was likely to remain in hospital for a few more days.
Wellington district road policing senior sergeant Warren Harris said it was too early to say whether charges would be laid.
