Woman hit at drag car rally

Three people were injured - one seriously - after what police believe was a drag car rally at Tangimoana in the Manuwatu overnight.

One woman was critically hurt in the incident which happened about 12.30am, acting Sergeant Kim Blanchard said.

She remained in hospital this morning in a "serious but stable condition," a hospital spokeswoman said.

Mr Blanchard said he believed three people were taken to Palmerston North Hospital after the incident.
