A woman who became trapped between two rocks at a Northland beach has been freed.
Emergency services were called at 6.39pm after reports the woman had slipped, fallen and become wedged between two rocks at Motutara Point, Whananaki, a police spokeswoman said.
A St John Ambulance spokeswoman said firefighters had managed to free the woman.
She was flown by helicopter to Whangarei Base Hospital with minor injuries about 8.30pm.
