Woman found on street with serious injuries

A woman was found in a critical condition with head injuries in a suburban street this morning.

A police spokesman said police and an ambulance were called to attend to the woman, who was found on the side of Pembroke Road in the Wellington suburb of Northland at about 8.30am today.

She was taken by the Wellington Free Ambulance to Wellington Hospital.

Wellington CIB were investigating the incident.
