The Balclutha woman found dead in her home on Monday has been named.
She was Lusi Aleni-Faamoe Ioane, 41.
A 49-year-old man was remanded without plea when he appeared in Dunedin District Court yesterday in relation to her death.
Detective Sergeant Chris Henderson said police and forensic specialists hoped to wrap up their scene examination tomorrow of the Essex Street house where Ms Ioane's body was found.
A post-mortem was completed this morning but police were not prepared to comment on what it found.
