A woman was airlifted to hospital with back injuries after falling four metres yesterday evening.
Paramedics were called to the scene of the accident at a farm near Kihi Kihi, just out of Hamilton about 5.45pm yesterday, after 46-year-old woman fell four metres in a shed, a spokesman for the Rotorua based Bay Trust Rescue Helicopter said.
The woman was suffering from suspected spinal injuries, he said.
The woman was treated by St John Ambulance paramedics at the scene, before a rescue helicopter was called in.
A landing zone was set up for the helicopter in a horse arena near the scene.
