KEY POINTS:
A Hastings woman now faces a charge of murder in relation to the death of a man at a suburban Flaxmere house last month.
James Raymond Harris, 31, was found dead on July 29 at a Dundee Drive property, where he had been stabbed.
The 22-year-old woman was initially charged with assaulting Mr Harris.
She is due to appear in Hastings District Court today on the murder charge.
She and Mr Harris were known to each other.
Police were called to the address around 4.40pm on July 29 after reports a man was unconscious but when they and ambulance staff arrived the man was dead.
