A woman arrested and charged over the death of convicted paedophile Glen Donald Stinson has had the charges against her upgraded to include murder, police say.
The 31-year-old Palmerston North woman was initially charged with assault and kidnapping, but when she appears in Palmerston North District Court today she will also face a charge of murdering Stinson, Inspector Mark Harrison said.
Two Palmerston North men have already been charged with murder - a 46-year-old man and 27-year-old concrete worker Aubrey Thomas Harrison.
Stinson's body was found with severe head injuries in the driveway of a Wylie Rd property in rural Foxton on July 28.
Stinson, 57, was on bail facing three charges of indecent assault and one of attempted rape on a girl under the age of 12.
He had several previous convictions for sex offending on young girls.
Mr Harrison said police were not seeking anyone else in relation to the incident but were eager to hear about sightings of people or vehicles in the Wylie Rd area on July 27 and 28.
