A woman has died after being hit by a vehicle in the Auckland suburb of New Lynn last night.
The 20-year-old was rushed to Auckland City Hospital by St John Ambulance in a critical condition after being struck at a pedestrian crossing on Rata St about 8.55pm.
She died in the early hours of this morning, a police spokeswoman confirmed.
The police serious crash unit is investigating.
