A woman has died after a single-car crash in northern Wairarapa tonight.
The crash happened on State Highway 2 near Mt Bruce about 7.20pm, Inspector Marc Clausen of central police communications said.
The woman passenger was thrown from the car and died at the scene.
The male driver suffered injuries and would be flown by rescue helicopter to hospital, Mr Clausen said.
The road has been closed and the Serious Crash Unit was on the way to the scene, he said.
