An elderly woman has died after being hit by a car at a residential property in Nelson.
The woman was hit in a driveway and sustained serious injuries.
Her condition worsened and she died about 6pm on Sunday, a police spokeswoman said.
Emergency services were called to the address shortly before 3pm.
The Serious Crash Unit would look into the circumstances of the incident.
