A woman had to be cut from her vehicle after a head on crash near Paengaroa in the Bay of Plenty this morning.
The crash happened about 9.20am.
It is believed the woman was driving a white Mitsubishi and was turning from Wilson Rd North onto SH2, when her car collided with a red Toyota.
The woman was trapped in her car and had to be cut out by the fire service.
She was taken to Tauranga Hospital with what was thought to be serious injuries.
The man driving the Toyota was not injured.
Traffic was down to one lane but is now said to be flowing.
Police are still at the scene.
Meanwhile, a vehicle has rolled in an early morning crash near Te Puke.
A man was taken to hospital after the 4WD he was driving left the road and rolled several times, coming to a stop on its roof.
The crash on SH2 near Manoeka Rd, happened about 3.45am.
The driver was believed to be the only person in the car at the time of the crash.
A nearby resident who phoned emergency services said the driver appeared to have suffered shoulder injuries. He was later taken to Tauranga Hospital.
