A 19-year-old is fighting for her life after a freight train collided with her tractor as she crossed the tracks this morning.
The incident happened on a private farm near Marton in Manawatu about 11am today, police said.
The woman was flown to Palmerston North Hospital where she was in a critical condition.
Train services were delayed while the scene was examined and the wreckage cleared.
