KEY POINTS:
A 28-year-old woman is to face a High Court manslaughter trial after a man was killed car surfing on the West Coast.
After a depositions hearing in Greymouth District Court yesterday, Jessie Jayne Leigh Scott was sent to trial for the alleged manslaughter of Jamie Angus Mackay.
Mr Mackay died after falling off the roof of Scott's car while car surfing.
It was alleged Scott failed to take reasonable care to avoid danger.
Mr Mackay died in Christchurch Hospital two days after the March 9 incident.
Scott told police Mr Mackay had just perfected his "car surfing" technique.
