KEY POINTS:
Police have charged a woman with the murder of three-year-old Dylan Rimoni.
The toddler was admitted to hospital on April 16 with unexplained head injuries.
A homicide inquiry was launched after he died on April 18 in Auckland's Starship Children's Hospital when his life support system was turned off.
Police today arrested a 36-year-old woman and charged her with Dylan's murder as well as two charges of causing him grievous bodily harm and one of assault on a child.
Detective Senior Sergeant Dave Lynch said the grievous bodily harm and assault charges related to earlier alleged offences not immediately related to Dylan's death.
The woman will appear in Papakura District Court today.
