A 26-year-old Stoke woman has been charged over the death of an elderly woman who was hit while riding her mobility scooter.
Isabella Wilson MacKenzie, 89, died on May 16 at Nelson Hospital, a day after the crash.
Police said at the time Mrs MacKenzie was travelling on the footpath on Main Rd, Stoke, when her scooter was hit by a car reversing out of a private driveway.
Nelson Bays police acting area commander Senior Sergeant Tony Bernards told the Nelson Mail a woman had been charged with careless driving causing death.
