A woman has been charged over the death of a cyclist in Wellington in January.
Benjamin Lawless, 22, was killed when his bike and a car, which police say was driven by 62-year-old Yvonne van Roy, collided in the suburb of Karori late one Saturday night.
Radio New Zealand reported that Van Roy, an associate accounting professor at Victoria University, was charged with careless driving causing death when she appeared before a Wellington District Court registrar today, and was remanded to reappear in court next month.
