Police have charged a 70-year-old Te Horo woman following the death of a cyclist in Te Horo in September.
Frank van Kampen , 46, died after he was hit while he was cycling along State Highway 1 between Otaki and Waikanae.
Alison Downer failed a police breath test after the September 18 crash and her licence was immediately suspended for 28 days.
Mr van Kampen, a teacher, died at the scene.
Ms Downer has been charged with driving with excess alcohol causing death.
She will appear in the Levin District Court next Thursday.
