PERTH - A Perth woman could lose her sight in one eye after being bashed with baseball bats in a fight with two other women over a man after a day's drinking, police say.
The 47-year-old woman was attacked with the bats and fence pickets by a 16-year-old girl and a 29-year-old woman at the victim's home in east suburban Yokine about 9pm yesterday, police spokesman Ian Hasleby says.
"Detectives allege the 29-year-old woman and 16-year-old girl were engaged in a relationship dispute with the victim and ... the pair allegedly set upon the woman with baseball bats and fence pickets in the backyard," Mr Hasleby said.
"She managed to crawl to a neighbour's house for help and was later admitted to the Royal Perth Hospital suffering facial injuries.
"She will undergo reconstructive surgery and may lose the sight in her left eye."
The trio had been drinking at a Perth beach throughout the day before the attack, Mr Hasleby said.
Rhoda Narrier, 29, appeared in the Perth Magistrates Court today charged with deprivation of liberty and acts intended to cause grievous bodily harm.
She was remanded in custody to reappear in the court on March 7.
The teenage girl was due to appear in the Perth Children's Court today charged with the same offences, plus criminal damage.
