KEY POINTS:
A 51-year-old man is in Tauranga Hospital after being stabbed in the chest last night.
Detective Alan Kingsbury said police were called to a Mount Maunganui house just before midnight and found the man with a stab wound to his lower chest, head and upper arm.
He was taken to hospital, where he was this morning in a stable condition.
A 50-year-old woman has been charged in relation to the stabbing and will appear in Tauranga District Court tomorrow.
