KEY POINTS:
A woman aged about 50 was taken to Auckland City Hospital last night in a serious condition suffering from smoke inhalation and burns after she was rescued from a house fire in Dominion Rd, Waikowhai.
The blaze started about 6.45pm.
Another woman escaped unharmed.
